VIRN
VIRN stands for Violet Indian Ringneck. VIRN is a 10 year old female Indian Ringneck. She is definitely skittish but according to her former owner, used to be quite handleable. It’s not uncommon for Ringnecks to lose their handleability rather quickly after not being touched for a while- and unfortunately it’s been well over a year since she’s even left a cage. VIRN is reportedly aggressive if she’s allowed a place to nest, but otherwise okay. She does NOT like other birds and has made that clear with Bugz conure, whom she injured years ago. She will take treats super politely from fingers but otherwise is completely unhandled now. When she’s toweled (for her medical exam and bloodwork), she relaxes when her head is scratched and seems to appreciate it. VIRN will need a lot of work to go back to being handled, preferably someone with IRN experience.
