While we are no longer requiring Covid vaccinations for visits and adoptions, we ask anyone with respiratory symptoms to reschedule planned appointments and wear a mask if asked.
Visits are by appointment only, and can be made by utilizing our form in the Contact Us tab. We are typically scheduling weekdays from 2-4pm and select weekends from 11-1. Please specify your availability in the request.

Looking to add some excitement into your life? We are seeking specific types of volunteers at the moment- mostly volunteers to do home visits (1-2 hour commitment). Home visits are an easy way to support the rescue and get more birds into excellent homes! We need folks in South Wisconsin, Chicagoland and Peoria areas, Sioux City/South Dakota, Omaha, Southern Minnesota, Dubuque, and more.

We are the only health inspected rescue in the state of Iowa, and the only rescue between Chicago and Denver
Donations are the lifeblood of the rescue. They go to support vet bills, maintenance, utilities, food, enrichment, and so much more. Every contribution, whether in-kind or monetary, is utilized to its fullest.

Keeping birds and children out is made easy with each kit's safe and breathable lockbox.
